The TPC Network is delighted to engage college students by offering a variety of internship opportunities designed to provide first-hand experience in the golf industry.

**Please note that the majority of our internships are offered during the summer.  However, certain clubs and departments do offer alternative dates.  We will respond to all applications received based on the clubs needs.**

In order to be considered for the TPC Internship program, at the time of application, each candidate must:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Have appropriate authorization to work in the United States
  • Possess the minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) required by their college or university
  • International students must be currently enrolled in a US college or university and possess all visas and employment authorizations required prior to the start of the internship.

Golf Operations

The TPC Golf Operations Internship program is designed to provide future PGA Professionals with a hands-on, practical learning experience in both golf operations and professional golf tournament management. The Program offers candidates the opportunity to gain the supervised work experience necessary to achieve PGA of America Membership, as well as the knowledge and experience to become future TPC Network Assistant Golf Professionals.

Interns are placed into one of three program levels, corresponding with the student’s progress in his or her Professional Golf Management program and/or PGA of America program. Although each internship level has varying responsibilities, all internships are built on the TPC Vision, Mission and Values, as well as a commitment to service excellence.

Golf Course Maintenance

The Golf Course Maintenance Internship program is designed to provide turf management or agronomy college students with a practical, hands-on learning experience in golf course maintenance operations, agronomic plan management and professional golf tournament preparation. TPCs offer interns the unique opportunity to develop a diverse array of skills in the maintenance of both tournament and non-tournament playing conditions.

The program offers candidates the opportunity to gain the supervised work experience necessary to become Assistant Golf Superintendents. Students will be introduced to the agronomic elements of golf course maintenance as well as such critical concepts as personnel management, financial management, equipment operation and maintenance, maintenance facility organization and upkeep, fertilizer and pesticide application techniques, pesticide laws and regulations, member and guest communication, and environmental stewardship, among others.

Food & Beverage

The Food & Beverage Internship program is designed to provide students enrolled in hospitality or culinary arts programs – or any student interested in the food & beverage industry – with a working knowledge of both front and back-of-the-house food and beverage operations in a golf club environment.

While working as a member of the food and beverage team, interns will gain valuable experience in such areas as recruiting and staffing; inventory control; a la carte promotion and execution; catering; purchasing; workplace safety; budget management; scheduling; and payroll management.
