How do I contact TPC Deere Run?
You can contact the golf shop for any questions at (309)796-6000.

TPC Deere Run is a PGA TOUR Facility. What does that mean?
As a PGA TOUR facility, TPC Deere Run is owned and operated by the PGA TOUR. As such, TPC Deere Run is the annual host of the John Deere Classic and operates according to the highest standards of operation within the golf industry. More so, guests have the chance to experience what it is like to be a TOUR player!

How far is TPC Deere Run from Chicago?
TPC Deere Run is approximately 3 hours from downtown Chicago, 3.5 hours from the Northern Suburbs, and 2 hours from the Western and Southern Suburbs. We are accessible from I-88 or I-80.

What is your dress code?
Appropriate attire is required and must be observed at all times. Denim, bathing attire, T-shirts, gym shorts, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, mesh shirts, cut-off shorts or denim, short shorts, tennis outfits and other dress of a similar nature is not appropriate. Shorts may be worn but must be of Bermuda length and men must wear collared shirts. Women will be allowed to wear collarless golf appropriate attire.

What is your cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy for non-group play is 48 hours.

Is there a twilight rate?
Yes, we do have a twilight rate, but it should really be considered a nine-hole rate. The times in which the twilight rate goes into effect may not allow a golfer to complete all 18 holes.

Can I bring my own food and beverage to the course?
TPC Deere Run serves a wide variety of food and beverage; therefore personal products are not permitted.

Can I wear metal spikes?
TPC Deere Run strongly recommends the use of metal spike alternatives and specifically prohibits the use of metal spikes at the facility. Alternative spikes are available in the Golf Shop.

How long should it take to play the course?
TPC Deere Run is rated at 4 1/2 hours. If there is a large group outing on the course, carts are restricted to their path or heavy wind is present, this time can be extended. Pace of play is strictly enforced. Slower groups will be monitored to ensure timeliness.

How hot does it get in the summer?
In Western Illinois our summers are humid with temperatures frequently reaching above 90°. Sunscreen and bug repellant are recommended in Summer months.

Are there caddies available?
No, we do not have caddie service available. You may bring a caddie and walk the golf course at certain times. Please check with the Golf Shop for further information.

What is TPC Deere Run’s cart policy?
Carts are included with your greens fee. TPC Deere Run features a 90 degree rule throughout the year with the exception of late June and early July for the John Deere Classic. Other days are deemed cart path only as needed due to agronomic reasons and we apologize for the inconvenience on these days.

Can I go in the woods and look for my ball?
Of course you can. Please be aware of pointy plants, loose rocks and the wildlife! As a general rule, if your ball is not in plain sight, you probably won’t be able to get a club on it. So, unless you are playing a heated match, take a quick glance and drop another ball. This will speed up play and make your round more enjoyable.

How does the course hold up in the summer?
TPC Deere Run is in great shape throughout the year, especially the summer.

What set of tees should I play from?
As a PGA TOUR course, the difference in tee boxes often means greater forced carries off the tee and on approach shots into the green. These are suggested guidelines for playing from our tees:
TEE HANDICAP
TPC 0-5
Black 6-10
Blue 11-15
White 16+
Red Ladies, Seniors, Juniors and any other higher handicap player.
