Course Maintenance
Over-seeding at TPC Louisiana takes place at the end of October through the beginning of November. After over-seeding, carts are restricted to their paths for at least one month. Because this process involves growing new grass, the fairways are a little longer and the course is a little wetter. TPC Louisiana is still in great shape and very playable after over-seeding. Please ask the golf shop for an update on course conditions if you are scheduled to play in October and/or November.
Aeration of the putting surfaces at TPC Louisiana takes place twice each year. Once in June and then again in August. Aeration promotes root growth, oxygenation, and gas exchange for the soil by removing solid cores of turf. This process also helps elevate compaction that is created by foot and machinery traffic. This necessary agronomical practice creates favorable playing conditions, aids aesthetic value, and receptive greens. Recovery time expected for this process is 8-10 days. Please check with our golf shop staff for further details.
