TPC Scottsdale gets face lift, updated logo and new name

SCOTTSDALE, AZ

The City of Scottsdale is spending $10 million to improve and renovate TPC Scottsdale's Desert Course facility. Plans include TPC’s existing Desert Course clubhouse to be expanded with the addition of indoor seating, a covered patio and a larger area for food preparation. The renovation will improve the 20-year-old drainage and irrigation systems as well as design upgrades for the Desert Golf Course. Construction will begin in February 2007 after the FBR Open and reopen in November 2007. In addition, updated design elements were added to the TPC logo to fashion a more uniformed link with the PGA TOUR logo. The new TPC logo, which will be incorporated into all marketing materials, will help fortify the connection between the two brands for members, fans, sponsors and guests. Further reformation of the TPC brand includes a recent name change from “TPC of Scottsdale” to simply, “TPC Scottsdale.” For more information, visit www.tpc.com or call (888) 211-6593.
