The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am -- formerly the GTE Classic and Verizon Classic --moved to the TPC Tampa Bay in 1992. An instant favorite on the Champions Tour due to the layout, the course has drawn the greats of golf and challenged them to raise their games. In 1992, Jim Colbert and George Archer fought it out, both setting a record score (200) before Colbert won a dramatic playoff. It was time for the Golden Bear in 1996. Jack Nicklaus, at age 56, shot a final-round 67 to win his ninth Champions Tour title (79th overall TOUR win).
