This is the TPC web site (the "Site")
As part of the operation of TPC, we gather certain types of information about TPC users, and we would like to explain the types of information we gather and what we do with it.
TPC collects two types of personally identifying information from users: personal data (such as names and e-mail addresses) and aggregated data (such as statistical information about traffic patterns on TPC web pages).
Personal data is collected when users provide it to TPC during registration, by purchasing items from the TPC Pro Shop and in registering for contests and other promotional opportunities provided by TPC. Also, we collect the e-mail addresses of users who contact our Customer Service Department via the TPC.com feedback form, or who use the TPC.com email feedback form.
Aggregated information (defined as non-identifying summary data), such as which page users access or visit and information volunteered by users, is collected by us through various methods. For example, TPC collects IP addresses. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the web. Web servers (the computers that "serve up" web pages) automatically identify your computer by its IP address, and when you request a page from TPC, our servers log your IP address. TPC collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to provide aggregate data to advertisers about the volume of use on TPC. This information answers questions such as the most frequently used page, page hits per time frame and number of unique visitors.
TPC also uses "cookies" to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that most major web sites write to your hard drive for record keeping purposes when you visit them. Cookies allow TPC to measure activity on the site and to improve your user experience, for example by remembering your passwords and viewing preferences. Cookies are used by TPC to measure activity on the site and to make improvements and updates based on which areas are popular and which are not. Cookies are not used to target promotional information to users.
Use of Information Collected
TPC uses both the personal and aggregated information we collect for multiple purposes. The information is used to improve the content of the TPC site ("Site"), to customize the content and/or layout of the site for each individual user and to notify users about updates to the site or promotional offers or opportunities that we believe will be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive promotional offers from TPC, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org At any time you can choose to accept or decline this service by changing your option on the TPC email feedback form.
If you have given TPC permission to provide information about you, then TPC may share your personal information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Our current corporate policy does not include the transfer of such personal information to third parties without your consent (unless we are required by legal process to transfer this information).
